Community Support Gift Card Program

"For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink... Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me." Matthew 25: 35,40

If you would like to apply for a gift card:

NOTE: At this time, we have reached our current capacity and must pause new applications until additional donations are received. We want to ensure we can provide meaningful support to every household we serve.

At Food City, we believe in standing by our neighbors, especially during difficult times. With recent federal funding challenges affecting SNAP (Food Stamp) benefits and federal government employees temporarily going without pay, many hardworking families in our community are feeling the strain. Inspired by a caring customer who wanted to help, we created the Food City Community Support Gift Card Program to provide a little relief where it’s needed most. This program is specifically for households currently relying on SNAP benefits and federal employees who are not receiving pay during this period.

Community is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to supporting local families and helping one another through difficult moments. The gift cards we will be distributing have been funded by both Food City and the generosity of our customers. (If you would like to donate and purchase a gift card for someone in need, please visit one of our stores.)

If you are a SNAP recipient or federal government employee in need of support, please fill out the form below. You will be contacted if you are approved to receive a free Food City gift card, and we will coordinate pick-up details with you. In order to help more households, we ask that only one person per household apply for a gift card.
