Exciting News for Texas WIC Participants: Extended Cash Value Benefits for Fruits and Vegetables!

Are you a participant in the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program in Texas? If so, it has been announced that the cash value benefits (CVB) for fruits and vegetables have been extended, allowing you to continue enjoying the benefits through November 17, 2023. That's right; you have more time to make healthy choices and nourish your family with fresh produce.

The new CVB amounts are as follows:

  • $26 monthly for children

  • $47 monthly for pregnant and postpartum participants

  • $52 monthly for fully and partially breastfeeding participants

  • $78 for mothers breastfeeding multiple children

If you received benefits for October and November before October 1, 2023, you may not have been issued the additional benefit. To access the increased CVB amounts, simply visit your local clinic. They will be more than happy to assist you in receiving the additional support.

It's important to note that all WIC policies related to approved fruits and vegetables remain the same. So, you can continue to choose from a wide selection of approved items and enjoy the benefits without any changes or complications.

Should you have any questions or need assistance, Texas WIC is ready to help.
